Hi Reader,
Did you see the haka protest in the New Zealand parliament?
Haka is a traditional Māori ceremonial dance that is a powerful expression of the Māori people's spirit and traditions.
Haka is a group performance that involves rhythmic chanting, foot stamping, hand movements, and facial expressions. It is often performed to convey pride, strength, and unity.
This video has gone viral, and it's one of the best examples in recent times of Eris showing up. In these times, when authoritarian takeovers are commonplace, that there are acts of celebration and resistance such as these means that Eris is very much alive.
I hope you enjoy the video and remind people that we have tons of resources on the Woman Warrior as people think about where to spend their money. My podcast conversation on Eris is on my Substack and my masterclass on the goddess of equity and inclusion, Woman Warrior, remains available for self-guided study.
Keep showing up, even in and particularly in these times. The moral arc of the universe is long, but it bends toward justice.
Kindly,
Rayner
